Contacting Senators Wyden and Merkley |
Senator Ron Wyden has introduced a bill, cosponsored by Senator Merkley, the River Democracy Act of 2021, to add nearly 4,700 miles of Oregon rivers and streams to the protected status provided by a Wild and Scenic River designation. All of the rivers and significant waterways of the proposed Douglas-Fir National Monument are included in the Act. You can review why the Rivers of the Monument are so well qualified for inclusion in this great piece of legislation by checking out the Nominations. You can thank Oregon's Senators and support the enhanced protection of your favorite river by sending an email to Senator Wyden and Senator Merkley or send a letter to Senator Ron Wyden 221 Dirksen Senate Office Bldg.
